PACA MOBILE CENTER, is a not-for-profit consortium of more than 30 adherents and 300 members, founded by four French high tech companies - Mobile Distillery, MobiVillage, Miyowa and Audio Mobile Agency, dedicated to help Mobile Application Developers to access shared services and resources, reducing cost and development cycle, mainly during the development phase on mobiles. Since 2007, Zandan(Paris), Smartcom(Sophia Antipolis), Exkee(paris/marseille) have joined the board to carry on PACA MOBILE CENTER development.

A key objective of the centre is to alleviate the economic pressures felt by developers of mobile phone applications, which are largely due to the proliferation of phones with a wide range of different processors, memories and screen sizes.

PACA MOBILE CENTER - Mobile 2.0 Companies

Concretely, we source, centralize and pool to our adherents resources to reduce their investments into new mobile communications solutions.

We target over 1000 different models at the end of 2007. The whole list of handset could be download here.

On the top of that, PACA MOBILE CENTER founders agreed on building and sharing a mobile specifications database, based on part of their experience. Website visitor have a free access on the 8 months launched handsets and adherents could access to the full database thought the intranet.

In January 2007,
PACA MOBILE CENTER joined Mobile Monday community to gather developers on the french south coast and around the Mediterranean.
